Directed by Margaret Dennett and using the expertise of vocal coaches Lynn Posner and Tom Serene. The student cast ranges from 9th – 12th grade students weaving a fun tale of not so fierce pirates, damsels in distress and an emotional Major general. The main characters are Mabel, played by Riley Miner, who falls in love with Frederick, played by Russell Emerson. The Pirate King, played by Gabe Sanchez, and Mabel's father the Major General, played by Steven Craig soon thwarts their attempt at happiness. NTHS has been the benefactor of the Napa Valley Players, formerly known as Dreamweavers Theater, for the past 5 years. New Tech High is unfortunate in not having a performance space but is fortunate in the welcoming community that we have built with Napa Valley Players. Many of our students have gone on to become interns, stagehands and even actors in the theaters Main productions. Come join us at the Napa Valley Players Theater for a fun and rollicking time you'll walk away with a song in your heart. NTHS thanks Napa Valley Players for their continued support, mentoring and inspiration in keeping theater alive at New Tech High.
